RARE. TREAT FOR THE NEWSIES AT THE ARMY TENT Come on, Bill, the Cap’s Goin’ to Pull a Big Show For Us To- night at 7 O’Ciock at the Army Tent “It’s a big night tonight” for the newsies of Casper. Seven o’clock is the hour and the Salvation Army tent, Second street near Ash, is the place. And anyone not on time will miss something. The Salvation Army is playing host to the newsies of Casper, their friends | of the street and mission and because of the fact that Casper boasts of some |, 200 newsies a big time is in pros- pect. The girls are in vited along with the boys, for Casper’s juveniles of the fairer sex vie with the boys in selling the public the news. Among features arranged for their entertainment are numbers by Mrs. Edward Sylvester Grant, soloist; an address by Mayor John F. Leeper, “the newboy’s friend,” and a talk by Rev. Moorman, who recently accepted a call to the pastorate of the Bap- tist church and who knows boys thru association with them in the Y. M. C. A. Oh, yes, there will be songs avith plenty of ‘“pep”—war songs, all the boys know them, and last but not the least—hold on there, Bill, give a fellow a chance!—ice cream, cake and popcorn. Captain and Mrs. Pitt will be there to entertain. Isn’t that enuf for one night? Sands, vice-president of | the Oil Well Supply company, has sent copies of the following circular to all representatives of his concern: “The advisory committee on oil | well supplies of the National Petrol- eum War Service committee acting under the fuel administration, will is- sue from time to time prices on stan- dard commodities used in the oil country. These prices will be istued for the sole purpose of restraining profiteering. It is not expected that any of the established old-line supply companies would be guilty of profit- eering, but it is a well known fact that there are brokers and second- hand dealers who have been conduct- ing a profiteering business to the det- riment of the trade, and the adminis- tration proposes to stop it. These maximum prices which will be issued jfrom time to time will doubtless be |found quite in line with our regular | established prices issued from Pitts- burg.
