The Wyoming-Illinois is incorpora- ted under the laws of Colorado and is now preparing for extensive de- velopment of its property in the Cor | verse County and other fields thru | syndicates which operate in conjunc-} tion with the main organization. Five syndicates have been organ- ized in Omaha and each of these is making preparations to drill in the Douglas territory within the next sixty days. A number of syndicates have also been organized in this state and all expect to commence drilling oper- stions in the next few months. The organization of these syndicates is under the supervision of Mr. Saley who is a business man whom success has favored in every line of endeavor} he has undertaken. He is prominent in business circles in Omaha and other Nebraska towns. Advices from San that the Union Oil Company has made a proposition to absorb the Producers’ Transportation Company by inviting minority stockholders to exchange their holdings for stock of the Unior eompany on a share for share bas The minority amounts to about $2,- 000,000. The commissioner of cor- porations ha tioned the exchange. Stockholders of the Texas Com- pany ratified the increase in stock from ,500,000 to ,375,000, the new stock to be offered at 100. Monarch Salt Creek Drilling. The Monarch Salt Creek Petroleum Company, with holdings in the Salt Creek fields, has been successfully fmanced and the company has let contracts for the drilling of two wells to the second Wall Creek sand. This contract includes casing, and drilling will begin at once. The company has emple funds on hand to carry for ward its operations to a successful} conclusion, and the treasury stock has practically been taken from the ma ket. The management is very confi- dent of striking a good flow of oil. Big Muddy Drilling Contracts. Announcement is made that con- tracts have been entered by the Pe- troleum Oil Fields Company by which two deep wells will be drilled on its holdings in the Big Muddy field in Wyoming. these contracts must begin by Ji day of June, 1917.
