John Frankenfield who recently purchased a second-hand car, was trying it out Tuesday evening. It had a six foot boiler and an eight foot whistle, and every time the whistle blew the old boat would stop. Two Homes in Sorrow and Tears Is the result of Tuesday’s accident, when Big Watson, Mart Biggs, Jim Miller and Andy Eastly made a flying trip to Rich Hill in the former’s car. On their return, when about three miles west of Rich Hill, and running ata high rate of speed, Mr. Watson lost control of ‘his machine, which turned turtle into a ditch and, as it is generally in such cases, the occupants were caught beneath the wreck and in the twinkling of an eye the soul of Andy Eastley was plunged to death. Eastley’s neck and Miller’s back were broken and Watson, the owner of the car, and Mart Begs were badly bruised. Eastley leaves a wife and: seven children, all grown except one boy, and Miller has a wife and three small children. Miller is at the home of his father-in-law, Alex Goodwin and is paralyzed from his chest down, and tio hope is held for his recovery. The families are highly respected people and have the sympathy of the community im this their dark hour of trouble and bereavement. Andrew Jackson Eastly was born in Ash county, North Carolina, June 8, 1848; died August 4, 1914, age 66 years, 1 month and 27 days.
