This well known firm was the lucky purchasers of the CREAM OF THE SWOFFORD STOCK at Kansas City, Mo. The Swofford Company of Kansas City was among the largest wholesale houses of that city and through an unfortunate chain of events, was forced into bankruptcy. The banks held as collateral for their loans, all the unopened new goods in cases bought early last season when cotton was 30 to 40 PER CENT LESS THAN IT IS QUOTED TO-DAY. These goods are the cream of the Swofford Stock, being entirely new and consisting of advance styles, brought out for 1910 spring trade. We attended this mammoth sale in St. Louis and were lucky enough to secure a good share of these bargains.
