ENGLISH SAILORS MUTINY. Five or Six Hundred at Portsmouth | Require the Fixed Bayonets of Comrades to Quiet Them. Portsmouth, Eng., Nov. 5.—A mu- tinous outbreak of 500 to 600 sailors Sunday night necessitated the jmme diate mobilization of the entire force im the naval barracks here to prevent the affair from developing into a ser- lous mutiny. The men had assembled in the gymnasjum when the senior officer, a man of short stature, wish- ing to administer a reprimand for breach of discipline, ordered the front ranks to kneel so that he could see the men in the rear. The order was resented and some of the sailors who refused to obey were arrested. Their comrades, aggrieved, ran amuck, wrecked the canteen and other prem- iseg, started to break out of barracks, with the intention of wrecking the quarters of the obnoxious officer and were only prevented fro mso doing by the fixed bayonets of an over whelming force. A-number of the men,who attempted to break out of barracks were ar rested, An Iron Column Fell 60 Feet. In - the struggle, the man with the strong body and clear brain wins out every time. The man of to-day needs something more than mere food ; he needs a food that makes energy—a food to work on. Although some people may not realize it, yet it is a fact, proved and established beyond doubt, that soda crackers—and this means Uneeda Biscult—are richer in muscle and fat-making clements and have a much higher per cent. of tissue-building propertics than any other article of food made from flour. That this is becoming known more and more every day is attested by the sale of nearly 400,000,900 pack- ages of Uneeda Biscuit, the finest soda cracker ever_baked. An energy-giving food of surpassing value—sold in a package which brings it to you with all the original flavor and nutriment perfectly pre- served. Truly the food to work on.
