Bryan has been #0 long before the public, has been tried by every test known to political expediency and party fealty, has been under the most searching scrutiny as to pri- vate life and public conduct and in all and through al! hehas comeclean and upright. He grows in strength and power with every passing day and his enemies devote all theirener- gles every day to the vain effort of weakening his hold upon the minds and hearts of the American people. And they have had their labor for their pains. Mr. Bryan is not infallible, but he {s more nearly right upon all the questions of which he has taken po- sition than any other man the United States has ever known. He ts better loved and more greatly feared than any statesman thiscountry has ever known.
