Salmon Property at Clinton Brings $62,000. | Clinton, Mo., September.—The real estate belonging to Salmon & Salmonand to Harvey W., and G. Y. Salmon, owners of the defunct Sal- mon & Salmon bank, was sold here at public auction by trusteesin bank- ruptcy. The bidding on the various pleces was quite spirited at times, and whilethe property did not bring any- thing like its real value, the results were satisfactory for a forced sale. About $62,000 was realized above the incumbrances. The residence of H. W. Salmon, appraised at $12,- 000, brought only $6,325. Well Worth Trying. W. H. Brown, the pate pension attorney, of Pittsfield, Vt., says: “Next to a pension, the bost shing to get is Dr. King’s Now Life Pills.” He writes: “‘they keep my family in splendid health.” Quick cure for headache, constipation and billoue- ness. 25c. Bryan Bows to Will of Party in Matter of Public Ownership. “It yon ask me whether the ques- tion of Government ownership will be an issue in the campaign of 1908, answer I do not know. If you ask me whether it ought to be in the platform, I answer I cannot tell until 1 know what the Democratic voters think upon the subject. If the Dem- ocrate believe that the next platform should contain a plank in fav oro ownership, then that plank ought to be included. Uncle Sam bas given out figures erackers are richer in nutriment and body-building elements, properly proportioned, than any food made from flour. This is saying much for common soda crackers, and much more for soda crackers of the best quality. They are baked better— more scientifically. They are packed better—more cleanly. The damp, dust and odor proof package retains all the good- ness and nutriment of the wheat, all the freshness of the best baking, all the purity of the cleanest bakeries.
