Chicago, July 31.—After a week of mental anguish, during which he contiually wept and prayed, Frank Benedetto, who murdered bis wife in a fit of jealousy, committed suicide in his cell in the county jail today by hanging himself. The murderer made a rope of the sbeet on his bed, tied one end around his neck and the other to the highest available point in the darkest corner of his cell. Then he lifted his feet from the fluor aud slowly strangled to death.
