Goebel of Kentuc Emporia, Kan, April 18.—The body of George Crowley, a junk deal- er of Council Grove, Kan. was found floating in the Neosho river near Emporia to-day, A large stone was fastened to the hody with barbed wire, and on the head were marks as of blows froma club, The coroner's jury reported that the man had been murdered. Crowley and his partner, George Dunpoope, started from Em- pora for Council Grove ina wagon on Mareh 27, Dunpoope arrived at Council Grove on the 28th with the horse and wagon and reported that Crowley had gone to Kansas City.
