Jefferson City, July 6.—Sheriff Cantrel], two deputies, Detectives Cunningham and Chester of the Missouri Pacific force, arrived here at 4 o'clock with the Macomb train robbers, William Jennings, Louis Nigh, Jake Fegley and Jee Shepard, and placed them ia the penitentiary to serve out their sentenees. They were received the same ae all prison- ers are received at that institution. When the train arrived they were marched from it to the penitentiary, Cunningham leading, followed by the prisoners with a deputy sheriff on either side and Sheriff Cantrell and Chester bringing up the rear. The prisoners were chained together so there was no possible chance of escape. At the penitentiary they were dressed in accordance to the rules of the institution, each prisener be- ing stripped and bathed, hair cut short and given ashave. All marke and a fall description of each was made. They were then furnished with new prison clothes. Ed Hickman of Kansas City was present and he took two pictures of each, one as received, the other after they had donned the stripes. He alse used the Bertillon system of measurement on them. The prison officials declare that Jennings is not Bill Ryan. Captain Tolin, who knew Ryan well, shook his head as soom as he saw Jennings and said: “This is not Ryan; he resembles him but little.” White’s Cream Vermifuge not syndicates in the Wall street district, only effectually expels worms, but is| it was said yesterday. unequaled as a tonic, and is a cer- tain and permanent cure for chills and fever in children Price 25 cts.|loon of W.O Ward was yesterday Sold by H. Alesbury of St Louis and Miss Lizzie Hartley of Stockton, Mo.. were married onarapidly moving street car this afternoon in the presence of a dozen of theirfriends. It was not @ runaway match, but the young people chose the time and place for the novelty of the situation and ina spirit of love and adventure. The B. Powers of this city. The bridal party bad chartered a special car and it was prettily deco- rated as if for a trolley party. They started for Krug park, in the north- err part of the city, and the cere. mony was begun as the car rounded the loop at the entrance to the park. At ashort curve the agitated bride was called upon to murmur “yes,” but instead she lurehed forward into the arms of the groomsman and almost fell off the car. Otherwise the weddiag was proneunced by all participating to be a success. Leoks Good for Springfield. Jefferson City, Mo., July 6.—Gov. Stephens to-day named the following persons the board of managers of the colony for the feeble minded and epileptics, provided for by the last legislature: John O'Dea, Spring-| field; Dean D. Daggins, Marshall, and George Robertson, Mexico, each for a term of four years, and Mrs. | Dora L. Hall, St. Joseph, and Pearl | Mitchell, Rocheport, each for a term of two years The appointment of this commit- tee appears to be favorable to Springfield for the location of the| colony, as the jaw gives the board} of managers authority to locate it. Springfield had a big delegation here several weeks ago with Colonel Jobn O'Dea at its head, asking tbat a committee favorable to that city be appointed for the location of the colony and as Col. O'Dea is named as one of the members of the board, it looks like Springfield has the de- cided advantage for the location of the colony ARAARARA ADA Oren © fea!
