Taunton, Mass., April 1.—A special from New Bedford says that efforts are being made by representatives of an English syndicate to combine all the cotton yarn mills in the United States. If the deal is consummated, it is estimated that a capital of over $100,000,000 will be necessary to form the combination. Fire at New Franklin, Mo. New Franklin, Mo., April 1.—One of the greatest fires in the history of New Franklin has occurred and prop- erty to the value of $15,000 was de- stroyed.
