A dreadful accident happened the 12 year-old son of John Rutledge near Schell City last Saturday. The boy was driving a spring wagon with his leg hanging outside the bed, when it was caught by the wheel and so badly mashed that amputa- tion of the leg above the knee was necessary. A committee from the Southwest Real Estate Association organized at Nevada a couple of weeks ago, met in Butler Saturday and completed arrangements for issuing a 100 page pamphlet descriptive of the re- sources of Southwest Miesouri. The pamphlet will be distributed at the Omaha exposition.
