Tortured by Masked Men. Pottstown, Pa, Sept 29,—Isase Alderfer, living at Trappe, a few qiles east of this town, was terribly tortured by masked men last night, an effort to extort money from fim. Mr. Alderfer is 76 years o! age, and lived entirely alone. He bas the reputation of possessing considerable wealth.
