Jefferson City, Mo., Aug. 4 —It is not believed here to-day that the school book commission will adhere to its former ruliog that the com panies enter isto contracts to be terminated at the end of any school year, if the commission so desires. The law gives the ccmmiasion au thority to contract for five years, and the book men feel that it is an unfair alvantage to take of them, because they would probably lose money on the firet year’s contract, becauce they bid with the up- derstanding that they were to have five year contrates The contracts will probably be 0 worded as to allow them to be terminated at the end of avy shool year, for good and sufficient reascns.
