C., May 15.— Justice Brewer of the United States supreme court today granted the application of counsel for Mr. Boyd, who was elected governor of Nebras- | ka, for a writ of error to the supreme court to test the question involved in the decision of the majority of the supreme court of Nebraska, who de- cided that he was not an American citizen and therefore not eligible to the office of governor of Nebraska. The supreme court will meet again May 25, and it is the intention of Mr. Boyd's atterneys to move to ad- vance the case on the docket and secure as speedy a hearing as possi- ble. The court will adjourn for its summer recess that day, and there is a possibility that an effort will be made to have the case argued on that day or to have the time fixed on that day for the hearing at the ext session of the court. May 15.—Word comes from Norman, Ok., this even- ing to the effect that an Indian scout from the Choctow Nation reports a | fight last night somewhere in the in- pee between the Dalton gang of | train robbers, who robbed the Santa , Fe express car near Wharton, I. T., on Saturday, and one of the pursu- ‘ing posses of United States mar- | shals who started out from Guthrie ‘svon after the occurrence. From ‘ what can be gathered it appears the |outlaws were preparing to camp ‘when the officers appeared and open- ed fire. A sharp interchange of bul- ‘lets followed, with what results is inot stated, except that in the con- fusion the outlaws mounted their ' horses and stole away, the night be ing so dark they were easily enabled | to escape. There seem to have been nine men in the Dalton party, and the bearer of the news seems to think it probable they might be overtaken to-day. ad ever ase taste and ac- prompt in beneficial in its trom the most he stomach, tion and truly who 1 pro- who ept any Do x ubstitute.
