All diseases arising from a tains 200,000 torpid hver, or impure or poisoned blood are conquered by the Golden Medical Discovery. Especially has Cameron, Mo., June 25.—About 10 o'clock last night a mob of twen- ty men and boys of the Starrett neighborhood, nine miles northwest of here and fourteen miles north of Osborne, gathered at Starrett’s house with the intention of going to the house of Watt Squires for the pur- pose of giving his son, Bud Squires, a coat of tar and feathers. . Squires and his son, a nice looking young man, got news of the mob’s intentions, armed themselves for the visit and laid under a rose bush in the yard. About midnight the mob appeared. When the members were within twenty steps the Squires opened fire on them Surprised and nonplussed, the mob returned the shots and for a few minutes a fierce battle ensued. Finally the mob dispersed, taking with them one of their members, Lewis Noland, a young man, fatally shot through the chest. He was taken to the home of John Starrett, where he is lying with no hopes of recovery. Young Squires escaped unharmed but his father is seriously wounded in the side with hopes of recovery. | The cause of the trouble was the! refusal of young Squires to wed Miss Gay Starrett, a highly accomplished young lady of the neighborhood, whom he is alleged to have rniced.
