ce: tacts ee ee ee ee THREE TO ONE. A Men Who Was Mercilessly Cowhic- ed Wil be Avenged by Pricnds. Cottageville, S. C., April 23.—J. D. Risher was mercilessly cowhided last Friday by Frazier Koger, J. W. Lemacks, Sr., and Andrew Lemacks Lemacks charged Risher with circu lating a report against Miss Lemacks which he'denied. The assailants were arrested and have been bound over but haye not scured bail yet. Meanwhile 40 of Risher’s friends have collected here from miles around. They are most heavily armed. Their avowed intention is to whip the three prisoners as they whipped Risher, whether they give bond or not. Risher’s 40 impulsive young friends are holding a council of war now. If the prisoners start for the jaila Waterboro, they will getthem. If they remain here the guard being inadequate they will get them anyhow. Altogether there appears to be a rough time ahead for the prisoners A Pleasing Sense Of health and strength renewed and of ease and comfort follows the use of Syrup of Figs, as it acts in har mony with nature to effectually cleanse the system when costive or billious. And it is with pleasure and gratitude that I look on the satisfactory results of my efforts in_ improving horses that has proved valuable sellers. EE We find that those who have patronized pure bred sires have been highly pleased. With these efforts the present demand for good draft and road horses is much greater than the supply and are likely to be for long time to come. My horses are of the best solid colors that can be got. I have choicg selections of Draft and Road horses which will be shown to one and all, Parties are invited to examine my stock before breeding elsewhere, Parties from a distance can be accommodated with pasture for their stock till service is rendered or longer.
