This frightened the animal and began to kick viciously, his feet striking the top of the buggy and just missing the doctor's face. Boyd, Walls and Renick, were called and dressed the wound and placed the doctor in as comfort- able a position as possible. As the wound is avery dangerous one and as the doctor is a member of the Missouri Pacific railroad surgeons, it was decided to telegraph for Dr. King, of Missouri Pacific hospital at Kansas City, but as that gentleman was out of the city Dr. F. R. Smiley, avery eminent surgeon was dis patched in his stead, arriving here Sunday morning. Dr. Smiley inform- eda reporter that he considered the injury a very serious one, but hoped tosee the doctor get along well. Dr. Boulware seems to be partic ularly unfortunate as thisis the third mishap that he has hadin the way of breaking his limbs. Having here- tofore broke his arm and right leg. Boulware stands at the head of his profession in this section of the state and has avery large and lu- crative practice and in his present unfortunate predicament he has the sympathy of this community.
