Section 7022 2. requires each dis- trict to maintain a six months’ school in each year, provided a tax of forty cents and the public funds will sustain the comply with same. Failure this provision cause a forfeiture of all public funds to such district for the next school year, and the county clerk shall omit such district in the apportionment of the public moneys. Section 7032 provides that when a district of three directors votes bonds for building purposes, the bonds must be deposited with the county or township threasurer and he holds the money received there on and is responsible on his bond for the same until drawn out upon proper warrants. i Section 7044 is amended by add- ing the clause, “and the floors shall be swept and the fires made at the expense of the district.” Under this section the attorney general has de- cided that no secret society, order club or lodge can legally hold its meetings in a public school house. There are number of other new sections and clauses in regard to special school meetings, teacher's contract, pupils ina district attend- | ing school in another district, and one section definjng the qualifica- | tions of a director, requires him to | be a citizen of the United States, a resident and tax payer and qualified | voter of the district, and shall have | paid a state and county tax within 1 one year next preceding his election | or appointment.
