He is one of the commision appointed by Governor Morehouse to visit the eleymosynary institutions of the state and report. The committee has finished its work and will make its report the first week in January. Some portions will be interesting and will create a breeze in educational circles in the state. The agricultural college and state university will be the subject which will call forth some reeom- mendations of a radical nature. Mr. Morton in speaking of the in. visitigations of the commission, said that with the exception of the agri- cultural college and state university all the instituions visited were in goodcondition. In the agricultural college at Columbia they found that there were just thirteen scholars and that $45,000 had been expended in two years to educate them. Mr. Mor- ton would not talk about the condi- tion of affairs at Columbia further than to state that if the probable reccommendations of the commission were followed there would be a rad- ical change in the methods of con- ducting the affairs at the state uni- versity and the agricultural college English Spavn Liniment removes all Hard, Sott, or Callouscd Lumps and Blemtshes from horses, Blood Spavin, Curbs, Splints, Sweeney, Stifles, Sprains Sore and Swollen Throat, Coughs, Etc- Save $50 by use of one bottle.
