She then told them she had prayed last summer as her last wish cn earth to see her children and grandchildren once more, and she believed this was the fulfillment of her prayer. On Sunday the people of the neighborhood swarmed to Mrs. Meyer’s house, and they were scon convinced of the truth of the mira- cle. I A gentleman from Sedalia informs us that “One-arm” Walker, a dusky individual of that city, has left there with a petition a yard long on an errand to Harrison for the Sedaia postoffice. Two moreshots were fired into his body and then the assassin or assassins ran up and beat his head into a jelly, breaking a gun from the stock over his head. To- day George Tally went to Clarks- ville, twenty-two miles distant from the scene of the murder, and gave himself up, saying that he was the murderer and that he killed Brake because the latter had seduced his 17-year-old daughter.
