A 1ost pitiable spectacle was seen at the Pacific depot, Sunday, in the person of a Mrs. Thurman, of Pu- laski county. who was being taken by her husband and Dr. Alfred Tittingcon, to the insane asylum at Nevada. She was blind, deaf and a mental wreck. the former affliction having come upon her about six months ago, while the other visi- tations were of a more recent origin. Her husband said this delusion was ever with her, and though for days she had been apparently dying from thirst, she could not be induced to swallow a drop. While at the depot a drink was brought her fresh from the well. but she rejected it, declaring that it was like all the rest of the water, that there was something in it.
