Reynolds recent- ly came from Ilhnois and he rented a farm and was making preparations to commence work. It seems West had rented the same farm, but Rey- nolds was not aware of that fact. There was a dispute as to who had aright to the tarm. Reynolds was living on the place. Last Monday morning, West loaded his shot gun and told his tamily he was going to kill Reynolds. West rode up to the fence with his gun, where Reynolds was at work and ordered him to move off the premises. Reynolds told him they could settle the dispute without any trouble and wanted to appoint a time to adjust the matter, whereupon West said he had come to kill him and he commenced shoot- ing, The contents of both barrels striking Reynolds in the head, which killed him instantly. Reynold’s head was almost torn from his body.
