Dealings were comparatively slow + after a moderately fast opening. Profit taking flurries frequently im- peded the forward tilt and these were y more noticeable as the session neared the end. Tax selling was again an important market factor but switching—buying of other stocks after liquidating to establish losses or gains for income re- turns—helped to balance offerings. Transfers were around 1,000,000 shares. Bonds, with rails pointing the way, pushed higher. Commodities were mixed, | Livestock | a SOUTH ST. PAUL South St. Paul, Dec. 16—()—(U.8. Dept.
