| Maccabees, Juniors, Hold Meeting Monday Approximately . 60 persons were present at the Maccabees potluck sup- sper Monday at 6:30 p. m., in the Aux- illary. room in the World War Me- morial building. An arrangement of autumn leaves decorated the table, whiclt was lighted with tapers in the Maccabee colors, black, red and white. Mrs. Alfred Zuger served as toast- mistress. Among the guest speakers were Gov. and Mrs. William Langer, Henry G. Owens, city attorney of Grand Forks; Jack Patterson, may. of Minot; Rev. R. E. Strutz, James- town; J. H. Newton and Alfred Zuger. D. McNamara, Fargo, state man- ager, gave a talk on “Our Insurance and the Fraternity.” Following supper, cards were in play with honors going to Mr, Mc- Namara and Mrs. Paul Schultz. A membership drive has beea launched by the Maccabees, with ‘Mmes, Newton and Zuger as captains. They will choose sides of 10 each. The losers will entertain the winners at @ supper in January after the close of the drive Dec. 31.
