On that day the popular noon hour program will be aired over the NBC-Blue network for the 2,771st time since the inaug- ural broadcast was made Oct. 2, 1928. Originally the Farm and Home Hour was broadcast over a limited NBC network of 17 stations. A total of 70 NBC affiliated stations cur- rently carry the program each week day at 11:30 a. m. (CST), the same time it was aired nine years ago. Format Remains Same ‘The format of the program has re-; mained substantially the same as it was when National Broadcasting company officials first conceived the program as a special service to agri- culture and country life. The United States Department of Agriculture continues to be the chief co-operator in presenting the Farm and Home Hour. Other co-operating organiza- tions, numbering almost 50 and repre- eon every phase of American include the Netoon 4-H Colleges and Universities.
