Apportionment of $1,875 Monthly NYA Grant An- nounced by Byrne Apportionment for 125 students at 21 North Dakota institutions of higher learning under a National Youth Administration drouth grant -of $1,875 monthly was announced ‘Wednesday by Robert Byrne, state director of the NYA. Byrne said the apportionment was made on the basis of the number of students in attendance at the vari- ous institutions whose need has been accentuated by drouth. ‘The number of students at each school who will be given the maxi- mum of $15 per month under the in- creased appropriation: Minot Teachers college 25; Uni- versiy of North Dakota 21; Dickin- son Teachers college 20; North Da- kota Agricultural college 19; James- town college 12; Ellendale Normal 9; Valley City Teachers college and ‘Wahpeton School of Science 8 each; and Bottineau School of Forestry, Mayville Teachers college and As- sumption Abbey at Richardton, one each, The apportionment is made from the special “drouth grant” of $48,- 815 recently allocated by the NYA. {This was in addition to $161,595 reg- lar allocation on which Art Solien, suprevisor of educational aid, said epportionment by counties has not yet been completed.
