Special attention is being given to fitting lambs for market, with aid be- ing given growers on feeding and management problems by local county agents, A large number of lamb sort- ing demonstrations are being spon- sored by the county agents. Thir- teen such sorting demonstrations have been arranged starting Aug. 30 at which technical help will be given by J. D. Gannaway of the NDAC ex- tension service. The fat lamb show will be held in Groups of five fat lambs comprise an entry, Lewis said. As an important feature of the show a sale of pure- bred rams is being arranged. Counties in which Gannaway will assist in the sorting Semone ee are as follows: Richland, Aug. 30; Sargent, Aug. 31; Dickey, ‘Sept. land 2; LaMoure, Sept 3 and 4; Cass. Sept. 7; Ransom, Sept. 8; Barnes, Sept. 9; Stutsman, Sept. 10; Kidder, Sept. 11; Burleigh, Sept, 8; Emmons, Sept. 15; Logan, Sept. 16 and 17; and McIntosh, Sept. 18 (tentative). The work in Logan county will be held in connec- tion with a colt show. The fat lamb show will have con- siderable practical viaue for every flock owner who make an entry, ac- cording to Lewis. Lamb feeders will be furnished a real demonstration of the value of finishing lambs for mar- ket and of selling lambs according to grade specifications.
