my KILLED IN’ Mt Prominent Business Man Dies Instantly When Car Over- turns on Highway Fargo, N. D., Aug. 10.—(®)—One of Fargo’s leading businessmen, Fred G. Green, was instantly killed at 8 a. m., ‘Tuesday, when his car overturned near Glyndon, Minn., as he was re- turning to this city from his summer home on Big Detroit lake. An examination of his body re- vealed a broken neck and an injury to the right side of the chest. There will be no inquest. He was alone in the car. Norn at Blind River, Ont., Feb. 15, 1885, Green spent much of his early life at Duluth. He engaged in the shoe business at Superior, Wis., in partnership ‘with Ralph Rothrock, operating the Sample store there for nine years. In 1918 the partners came to Fargo ‘and established the Rothrock and Green shoe store, That same year Mr. Rothrock died here. Active in Fargo social and club life, Green was a member-of the Masonic bodies, Shiloh Lodge No. 1, A. FP. & A. M.; the Scottish Rite and El Zagal shrine, He was also a member of the Fargo Country club and formerly of the Fargo Kiwanis club. He was married to the former Mil- dred Boerner of Duluth and has one son, -Frederick Ralph, a student at Fargo high school.
