TWOCET FREEDOM, TWELVE PAROLED ~ BY PARDON BOARD Board Recesses to July 26 After Listening to Half of Clemency Pleas After acting on approximately half of the applications for clemency sub- mitted by inmates of the North Da- kota penitentiary, members of the state board of pardons recessed Friday until July 26. Of the 127 requests, 59 had been heard. There were two full pardons, 12 inmates paroled and nine sentences commuted. Applications of 19 were denied and 17 deferred. Only two of the clemency requests |. of persons convicted of murder! were considered. Action = the request of James F.
