CHARGES AGAINST FARMERS DROPPED ‘Peaceful Settlement’ Arranged in Dispute Over Cattle in Ward County New Rockford, N. D., May 26.—(P)— Charges of criminal conspiracy filed in district court against nine Ward county farmers, outgrowth of a dis- pute over cattle taken up by John Spllovoy of Minot, have been dropped, Oliver Rosenberg, president of the North Dakota Farm Holiday associa- tion, said Wednesday. “Peaceful settlement” of the dis- pute growing out of alleged damages te Spilovoy’s cornfield by a neigh- bor’s cattle was accomplished at a Holiday association meeting at Max, he said. Spilovoy had warrants sworn out against nine farmers who attempted to intervene in the dispute and the cases were bound over to district court by Judge John C. Lowe of Minot. The Minot meeting will be held, however, to organize farmers for col- lective bargaining with creditors this fall, Rosenberg said.
