Se ere eran icine Seca Sct To reereereeeen nee menace - HISTORIANS: DELVE INTO RECORDS OF BARLY NAVIGATION Lap Prizes and Grand Prizes Awarded Winners Expected to Total $2,000 ~ FIVE BOATS NOW ENTERED Bismarck, Old Time Center of River Traffic, Will Be One Stopping Place Decision to run the St. Louis-Fort Benton motor cruiser race in laps with prizes for each lap as well as & grand prize, was announced Monday by sponsors of the race at Fort Ben- ton. Bismarck will be one of the control points-in the race and an overnight stopping place for the contestants. The tentative schedule would bring the racers here on June 1, according to Dr, P. J. Sweeney of Fort Benton, president of the regatta association. The contestants will leave St. Louis May 20, with stops as follows: May 21, Jefferson City and Glasgow; May 22, Kansas City; May 23, St. Joseph, Mo.; May 24, Omaha, Neb. and Council Bluffs, Ia.; May 26, Sioux City, Ia.; May 27, Yankton, 8. D.; May 29, Pierre, 8. D.; May 31, Mo- bridge, S. D.; June 1, Bismarck-Man- dan; June 3, Williston; June 5, Fort Peck; June 12, Fort Benton.
