GETS BENEFICIAL RAINS Bismarck Area Dusty Despite Precipitation Last Week; Rivers Out of Banks Eastern North Dakota received a beneficial rain Monday but western North Dakota was dry. It rained lightly overnight at points in the Red River valley, and at Beach, Crosby, Sanish and Williston, but s few desultory drops were the best the clouds could produce in this area. A slow drizzle started at James- town at 7 8. m., and at noon had pro- duced .31 of an inch of rain. A driz- zle at Fargo hed produced .36 inch at 2 p. m,, and was continuing. Showers fell on the Minnesota side of the Red river and elsewhere in that state. Pipestone had a thunderstorm and ,65 inch. At Sioux Salls, 8. D., the Sioux river was out of its banks because of melting snow and minor floods were reported elsewhere.
