T Bob Feller Takes | Setback in Stride a ba lk Van Meter, Ia., Dec. 11.—(P)— Bob Feller, $100,000 loser by Com~- missioner K. M. Landis’ decision making him the property of the Cleveland baseball club, took the setback in his stride Friday and kept on with his high school studies. The farm boy pitcher still ex- pects to earn $20,000 with his Pitching arm next year. “Judge Landis’ decision,” he said, “is fine by me. I'm glad it all settled and I'm glad to be with Cleveland.” Bob isn’t worrying about his salary but he will ask $20,000 for the 1936 season. “Dad and I talked it over and that figure looked about right,” he explained. “I want to be fair about it and I don’t intend to hold out for a bonus for signing,” he continued, “but judging by what the other Pitchers are getting I think I ought to be worth that.” Loss of the $100,000 doesn’t worry Bob because he never had the money and he didn’t plan on having it before the ruling was made. It was the amount, how- ever two major league clubs agreed to pay for his contract if he was made a free agent. Bob does not have a contract © with the Indians but expects to reach an agreement before con- tracts are due back at the club's headquarters Feb. 15.
