Every bit of the picturesque splen- dor that draws many thousands of | visitors to the park every year has | been captured by the camera. Prom- | inently featured are “Old Faithful” and many other historic geyscrs. There are Yellowstone ‘Lake, Jackson Hole, the spectacular Teton Moun- tains, Granite Arch, Marble Arch, Pulpit Terrace, Obsidian Cliff, Kep- ler Cascades, Christmas Tree Park, Morning Glory Spring and Firehole River. Involved in the plot is a beauti- ful girl who seeks to dscover the murderer of her father, only to find herself in love with the forest ranger suspected of the crime. “Yellowstone” has a fine cast con- alsting of Henry Hunter, Judith Bar- | ret, Ralph Morgan, Alan Hale, Andy Devine, Michael Loring, Rollo Lloyd, Monroe Owsley, Paul Fix, Raymond ‘Hatton, Mary Gordon, Claude Allis- ter and Russell Wade. Played by W. C. Fields As the “biggest liar on the river” and the champion calliope player of seven continents, W. C. Fields, dean of film comedians, plays his new star- ring role in Paramount's “Mississip- pi,” coming Friday to the Paramount theatre. A medley of song and entertain-j ment, centering about Fields, the pic- ture stars the famous comedian with Bing Crosby and Joan Bennett. Crosby plays the part of a Yankee youth in the old South of crinoline days who falls into disgrace and loses his sweetheart because of his unwil- lingness to duel with ‘every belligerent stranger. < The Old Commodore takes Crosby in tow, and between them they soon establish a reputation for the boy as the “Singing Killer,” the most danger- ous man with the sweetest voice on the father of rivers, Crosby falls in love again, this time with a girl who abhors duels, and then the commo- dore and Crosby are forced to unravel the reputation. One of the largest production num- bers of “Mississippi” is written about a novel arrangement of that favorite of all river songs—“Swanee,” Rod- gers and Hart, famous songwriting team, composed four new tunes which Crosby introduces in this picture.
