Dental Bridge Stuck In Boy’s Esophagus Philadelphia, May 21—()—George Mogill, of Detroit, 19-year-old Wayne University medical student, hoped Thursday to be freed within 24 hours from the dangerous effects of a den- tal bridge loged in his esophagus since May 12. Mogill has completed three years of pre - medical studies and knows his danger. Three attempts to remove failed. He swallowed the bridge while eating. Two sharp hooks designed to hold it in place piered the wall of his esopha- gus causing an infection. A special instrument will be required to reach eight inches into the boy's throat, shove the bridge down to release the hooks, turn it and withdraw it with- out injuring the throat lining.
