CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE. | DRIVE IN PALESTINE - PLANNED BY ARABS Rigid Boycott of Everything Jewish Announced by 150 Moslem Leaders Jerusalem, May 8.—(Jewish Tele- sraphic Agency)—Emergency mea- sures were invoked Friday to pre- serve order following the decision of 180 Arab leaders to launch a cam- Paign of civil disobedience, including @ rigid boycott of everything Jewish. . Fearing disturbances, the govern- ment ordered the discontinuance of traffic between Jaffa and Tel Aviv. Barbed wire barriers were erected at several places in Jaffa, and to pre- vent demonstrations, military forces ‘were moved up from Sarafend. Police ordered peasants in the sub- urk- not to enter Jerusalem Friday and Jewish officials who work in the predominantly Arab city of Jaffa were instructed not to report for ‘work.
