Stone by stone, four months later, that same building was razed in one of the most spectacular scenes ever * recorded by a camera—the storming of the Bastille by the French revolu- tionary mobs. It all was a part of the filming of “A Tale of Two Cities,” Dickens’ classic novel, which comes to the Paramount theater starting today as one of the most important photo- plays of the year. Ronald Colman is the star. From the fall of the Bastille is dated France’s Independence Day. . “A Tale of Two Cities” presents this Revolutionary mob scene on a grand scale, thousands of extra play- ers taking part. ‘With Colman, the star, is an amaz- ing cast of 112 players, prominently mong whom are Elizabeth Allan, Edna May Oliver, Reginald Owen, Basil Rathbone, Blanche Henry B. Walthall, Donald Woods, Walter Catlett, Fritz Leiber, H. B. ‘Warner, Mitchell Lewis, Claude Gil- lingwater, Billy Bevan, Isabel Jewell, Lucille Laverne, Tully Marshall and many more. WRIGLEY'S SCORES \ EVERY TIME “AIDS Yurka, | oO Twin Mystery Screen Thriller to Be Shown Solvers of cryptic crimes will find their deductive powers sorely taxed to fathom the labyrinthine twin mysteries in “Two in the Dark,” RKO Radio’s thrilling film drama, head- lining Walter Abel and Margot Gra- hame. This film will be shown at the Capitol theatre Monday and Tuesday. First they are confronted with the quandary of the unidentified man who finds himself on the fog-bound Boston Common, blood curdling down his cheek from an ugly wound on his head, his memory a blank, and his identity unknown to himself. A desti- tute show girl tries to help him orient himself, but in so doing establishes the terrifying fact that he is unmis- takably linked to a brutal murder. Did this strange amnesia victim who is drawn steadily into the swirl- ing vortex of damaging clues commit the crime which completely baffles the police with its tangled ramifica- tions? In a wide departure from their roles in “The Three Musketeers,” in which Abel played d’Artagnan and Miss |Grahame Milady de Winter, this ta- | lented new romantic team has scope |for unusual versatility in their cur- | rent vehicle. Robert Spring, once a clerk in! Washington, D.
