Parsons Camp No. 7, United Spanish American War Veterans, and Auxillary, which ‘first used them for @ gift exchange at the joint Christmas party attended by 34 members Mon- day evening in the B. P. W. room, World War Memorial building. The social affair followed separate business sessions of. the Camp and Auxiliary, that of the former being marked by the annual election and installation of officers. Practically all officers were renamed by the Camp to the 1936 executive staff, which is composed of H. F. O'Hare, commander; F. A. Erikson, senior vice commander; J. L. Kelley, junior vice commander; W. B. Dor- ward, treasurer; P. G. Harrington, patriotic instructor; E. G. Wanner, chaplain;, J. L. Ryan, officer of the day; Charles Glitschka, officer of the guard; Charles Liessman, historian; 8. E. Arthur, Mandan, quartermaster; A. W. Snow, adjutant; K. C. Arness, sergeant major, and W. Hodge, color sergeant. Auxiliary members with a committeg composed of Mrs, F. L. Burdick of Mandan, president; Mrs. K. C. Ar- ness, department president, and Mrs. A. W. Snow serving refreshments, were hostesses for the party. F. A. Erikson impersonated Major Edward Bowes in conducting an’amateur hour program in which all participated. ‘When the toys were distributed they ‘were unwrapped and then placed in @ basket for the Christmas cheer or- ganization. A large trimmed tree completed the holiday atmosphere. Members of the Auxiliary voted, during their business meeting, to purchase a $5 Christmas seal bond.
