The tea annually is a feature of Christmas seai drives which are con- ducted by the Council. Prizes at contract were awarded to Mmes. William McDonald and F. Lahr and the auction high score vors went to Mmes. Leo DeRochford and Melander. ‘Six door prizes were given. Before the tea hour Ralph Warren accompanied by Miss Belle Mehus, sang three selections from his “Life of Christ in Song” pro- gram which are appropriate for the Soule, tenor, Christmas season. . The guest art! performance brought forth profuse applause. He was introduced by Miss Manian Burke. Decorations Are Seasonal A holiday note was introduced in the decorations with greens on mantle and the tallies which had been made by first grade pupils of Miss Esther Maxwell in the Will school. The furnishing of the tallies by group. has become one of the tradi- tions of? the teas. Mrs, Frayne Baker, president of Council, and Mmes. Birlea O. W: R. 8. Towne and A. Junior ALA’ Groups Hold Joint Function | Singing around a beautifully de- corated Christmas tree and games were the entertainment when the Junior Aides entertained the Junior- ettes at a holiday party Friday after- noon in the American Legion Aux- iliary room. Toys which the chil- dren brought for the Open Your Heart campaign were placed at the foot of the tree. Both groups have had as a special project making Christmas gifts for patients in the United States Vet- erans hospital at Fargo and brought the completed nut baskets and nap- kin rings to the meeting. In the eve- ning they were given to Mrs. H. M. Leonhard, rehabilitation chairman, at the senior Auxiliary meeting.
