Ceremony Will Be Read at Min- nis Home in Fargo During Approaching Holidays David Minnis, Fargo, has announced the engagement and approaching marriage of his daughter, Miss Marie Minnis of this city, to Fred E, Tun- ell, also of Bismarck, son of Mr. and Mrs, Fred Tunell, Sr., of Norma, The service will be read in the Minnis home during the Christmas holidays. The announcement was made at a gathering in the Minnis home Sat- ‘urday. Miss Minnis came to Bismarck as desk reporter for the senate in the 1933 state legislative session, remain- ing here in a secretarial position with the Bank of North Dakota until her reappointment at the 1935 legislative session, Since April 1 the bride-elect has been employed at the state capitol in research and compilation of the mil- itary history of North Dakota. She has resigned that position and will go to Fargo Dec, 21 to remain until her wedding. | Miss Minnis studied at Dakota Con- servatory of Music in Fargo and the ‘Wesley conservatory at Grand Forks, and before entering commercial work taught piano at Hampden. Mr. Tunell is well known through- out the state, having served as reg- ister of deeds and treasurer of Ren- ville county. For six years he was manager of the state bonding depart- ment of fire and tornado funds under the administration of S. A. Olsness, state insurance commissioner.
