They are the Marx Brothers—Groucho, Chico and ‘Harpo—who are accused of inciting a Jaugh riot with their new Metro- Goldwyn-Mayer picture, “A Night at the Opera,” showing Wednesday, ‘Thursday and Friday. And it is a riot in every sense— the funniest picture yet turned out by those Merry Madmen. You'll howl at their humorous and crazy antics from the time they leave Italy until they go into the grand opera busi- ness in New York City. There isn’t a dull moment! But uproarious comedy isn't all. For the first time the Marxes really have a story and a first class ro- mance with two brilliant singers, Kitty Carlisle and Allan Jones, sing- ing grand opera that is as thrilling as the comedy is funny. The Marx Brothers have not only surrounded themselves with their funniest story, but with am -xcep- tional cast, which includes such fav- orites.as Walter King, Siegfried Ru- mann, Margaret Dumont, Edward Keane and Robert Emmet O'Connor. Colbert at Her Best In New Comedy Film In a picture that is easily the best | she has had since the now immortal “It Happened One Night,” Claudette | Colbert thoroughly entertained the | audience at the Capitol theater last) |night. “She Married Her Boss,” the star's newest vehicle, gives her every opportunity to display the piquant charm that has so endeared her to | the movie-going public. |. The film is, in essence, a comedy, but enough of the dramatic runs through it to give it backbone. | Headed by Melvyn Douglas and Michael Bartlett, Miss Colbert’s two leading men, “She Married Her Boss” boasts also of the services of such sterling players as Raymond Wal- ; burn, Jean Dixon, Katherine Alexan- der, Edith Fellows, a child star who is as delightful a brat as has come this way in many a moon, and Clara Kimball Young, who comes out of part. the way. Vivacious, intelligent, dis- arming in her frankness, she leaves no doubt in your mind that she is deserving of the highest honors the movies can bestow upon her. William Henry Harrison and his wife did not see each other during the time he was president of the United States. Mrs, Harrison was ill at the time of his inauguration and never reached the White House. Harrison died one month after taking office.
