Saturday evening will see the first supper-dance of the season of the In- terfraternity club, the function to be given in the Patterson hotel Silver Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges Celebrate Holiday ballroom. Miss Weinstein, who is an excep- tionally talented young artist, has a scholarship at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia and is receiving instruc- tion from its leading teachers. Miss Dorothy Wildfang, who will entertain with her mother next month, was placed in charge of the lesson, “Christmas Cheer in the Kitchen.” To add to the holiday spirit at this meeting, there will be an exchange of inexpen- sive gifts by the members. ‘The project leaders showed how to knit mittens and bed socks and de- monstrated crocheting of purses, hot pan holders, mufflers and rugs. Calnan a ;Truman’s Mother Dies , In Minnesota Friday Ralph Trumah, 314 Third St., leaves Saturday evening for Hopkins, Minn., to attend the funeral services for his mother, Mrs, H. D. Trumah, who died at her home there Friday after being ill since early fall. The rites will be held from the Congregational church at Hopkins, where the family had lived for 42 years, and burial will be made there. The late Mrs, Truman had visited in Bismarck in the summers of 1934 and 1935, Besides her only son she leaves her husband and two grand- children, Ralph Truman, Jr., poracioen Jean Truman, She was a prominent Order of the Eastern Star member and had served as worthy matron of the Hop- kins chapter.
