5 18 HOSPITALS WIN HONOR ROLL POSTS | Both Bismarck Institutions on: Approved List of College of Surgeons San Francisco, Oct. 29—Eighteen North Dakota hospitals have been placed on the accredited list of the American College of Surgeons for the coming year, according to announce- ment made at the eighteenth annual hospital standardization conference, which opened here Monday. ‘ The list included 2,523 hospitals as compared with only 89 which could aie the stringent requiriments in 1918. Three of the North Dakota hos- pitals on the list, the Good Samari- tan hospital at Rugby, the Good Sa- maritan hospital at Williston and the Grafton Deaconess hospital have been approved only provisionally. This, it is explained, means that they have accepted the minimum require- ments for approved hospitals but have not yet been able to carry them out in every detail. ‘The list of fully approved hospitals, with the maximum number of pa- tients for each, follows: Bismarck—Bismarck hospital and Deaconess home, 140; St. Alexius hos- pital, 150. : Devils Lake—Devils Lake General hospital, 50; Mercy hospital, 82.
