- Market Report for Fri., Oct. 11 RENEWED DEMANDS FOR SPECIALTIES SENDS VALIES UP Rails Inclined to Back Up With Some Profit Taking Around” Top Levels New York, Oct. 11.—(#)—Renewed demand for industrial specialties whirled these issues up to new highs for the past year or longer in Friday’s stock market. The rails were inclined to back up, however, and the list encountered profit-taking around top levels. But most of the leaders were not far un- der their peak’s of the session and the close was firm. Transfers ap- roximated 2,000,000 shares. ‘With some of yesterday’s inflation- ary. sentiment still in evidence, trad- ing started with a rush. Numerous blocks of several thousand shares changed hands at gains of 1 to around | Dec. 4 points. The ticker tape, for a time, was behind floor dealings.
