Lund Family Is to Harry Greenwood Is Told], Ceremony Will Be Performed August 3 in St. Alexius Hospital Chapel The engagement is announced of Miss Margaret Barrett, daughter of (Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Barrett, 710 Ave- nue A, to Harry Greenwood, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Greenwood, Trib- une apartments. The marriage ceremony will be per- formed in St. Alexius hospital chapel the morning of Saturday, August 3. ‘Miss Barrett has chosen her sister, ‘Miss Frances Barrett, as her only at- tendant. The best man will be Ray- ‘mond Greenwood, Jamestown, brother of the bridegroom. ‘The couple will make their home in this city at the Person Court apart- ments, Miss Barrett is a graduate of St. ‘Mary’s high school and the St. Alexius hospital school of nursing, with the class of 1930. Since then she has been engaged in private duty nursing. The prospective bridegroom was graduated _ from St. John’s academy at James- town and is employed at the Northern Pacific depot. He has lived here for about six years. The bride-elect was honored Tues- day evening at a bridge party and kitchen shower for eight guests given by Mrs. John Hardy, Mandan. Pink and white appointments were used on the refreshments tables. eee Recent Mandan Bride Is Honored Thursday Mrs. Robert Paris, 321 Mandan &t., and Miss Irma Jane Hanley, gave a crystal shower and bridge party at the Paris home Thursday evening in com- pliment to their sister-in-law, Mrs. James M. Hanley, Jr., Mandan. Mrs. Hanley was Miss Betty Mackin before her marriage, which occurred at Fargo on July 17. Twelve friends of the bride from both Bismarck and Mandan were in- vited. Miss Ruth Hintgen, Mason apartments, and Mrs. Robert Hoskins, who is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Sylvester of Mandan, re- ceived score honors at contract. Miss Lund underwent an operation for appendicitis at Detroit Lakes, Minn., July 9, and because of her illness, the family returned to Bis- marck sooner than they had at first Forks, Miss Lund completed her soph- omore year and Donald Lund finished his junior year at the University of North Dakota. * * % Miss Kathryn Brown To Continue Classes Miss Kathryn Brown, 218 Avenue C, west, announces that she will hold private kindergarten classes in the Roosevelt and Richholt or William |Moore schools as she did last year during the coming school term open- ing in September Classes for children from 4 to 6 years will be, conducted and will continue until June. Miss Brown will be pleased to contact parents who are interested in sending their chil- dren as soon us possible so that she may make plans for the division of her classes.
