More than 175 scouts were enlisted ®aturday in checking the premises bout Capital City homes for rub- bish, ashes, tin cans, unraked leaves or other unsanitary refuse. The scouts were supplied with cards, on which they checked the unsani- tary conditions, leaving a portion of the card with the property owners or tenants asking cooperation in the @rive and retaining another portion of the card which will be used in the second check. The campaign will have three di-/ fect results, its sponsors said. Living conditions will be improved with the removal of the breeding places for files and germs. The cleaning up o! papers and old leaves will lessen the fire hazards and insure greater pro- tection against damage by fire. The city will be made more beautiful to visitors and residents alike.
