Webb, depart- ment athletic officer of the Ameri Legion, and @ motion picture e1 titled “Play Ball” will be the prin- cipal features of the organization meeting of the fourth district, Junior American Legion baseball program. A short business meeting of the Lloyd Spetz post will open the meet- ing at 8 p. m., Wednesday, at the World War ‘Memorial building. E. M. i Davis, fourth district athletic officer for Kidder, Logan, McIntosh, Em- mons and Burleigh counties, will have charge of the program. Speakers will be Governor Walter Welford, Spencer Boise, fifth district deputy; K. W. Simons, commander of the Lloyd Spetz post; Ben Jacob- son, FERA recreational director for Burleigh county; Buddy Beall, mem- ber of the Bismarck team last year; and Webb. The film, which will be shown by 8. W. Corwin, takes the spectator be- hind the scenes of big league base- ball, giving him a thorough education in the fundamentals of batting, Pitching, catching, fielding and base running as demonstrated by the stars of the American league. Invitations have been extended to all posts in the fourth district to ‘send delegates to the meeting, which will be open to the public.
