DIES FROM CANCER Funeral Services for Retired Farmer Will Be Held Sun- day Afternoon Andreas Schadler, 71, retired farm- er, 2d at 4:45 p. m. Thursday at his home at 303 Seventh St., following a prolonged illness. Cancer of the. stom- ach was said by physicians to have caused his death. A resident of Bismarck for the last 15 years, Mr. Schadler came to the United States and to North Dakota 37 years ago. He was born August 22, 1863, in Russia., Coming to this state in 1897, he settled on a farm near Kulm. N. D., and moved to Bis- marck in 1919, He was married for the third time to Miss Caroline Zerr on August 19, 1919, at the Evangelical church here. ‘He leaves several step-children and a brother, John Schadier of Eureka, SD. Puneral services will be held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Evangelical church with Rev. Ira Herzberg and Rev. A. W. Heidinger officiating. Burial will be made in the Fairview cemetery. For the frosting use 2 cups sifted confectioner’s sugar, 2 whole eggs or 4 egg yolks, 1-2 cup milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 4 squares bitter chocolate, 2 tablespoons softened butter. Melt chocolate over hot water. Combine ingredients in order given, beating with a rotary beater until blended. Place bowl in a pan of cracked ice or ice water and continue beating until of right consistency to spread, about three minutes. Cool cake thoroughly before frost- ing. Frost the first layer, then put on the second—placing it precisely so that the edges are even and the cake uniform in height.
