N ee Clubwomen in Session Here Pay Visit to Legislature Banquet, Concert and Recep- tion Monday and Welford Address Are Highlights The North Dakota Federation of ‘Women's clubs executive board and council, which convened here Mon- day morning for a two-day session, adjourned shortly after 12 o'clock to visit the two branches of the legis- lative assembly and to tour the state capitol building. Some 60 local and visiting club- ‘women affiliated with the federation are expected to attend the banquet,| which will be given at the Grand Pa- cific hotel private dining room at 6:30 o'clock. Following that the meeting will be continued until all necessary business 4s transacted. *e * Woman’s Club Gives Party for Husbands Covers were laid for 25 at the 7 o'clock bridge dinner which the Woman's club members gave for their husbands Saturday evening at the Rendezvous. Potted plants were the main feature of a lavender and gold decorative scheme arranged by the committee, Mrs. George E. Schunk, chairman; Mrs. R. C. Morton and Mrs. C. E. Pickles. In the contract games played at six tables score awards went to Mrs. A. Y. Haglund, Mrs. P. L. Owens, G. A. Dahlen and L, V, Miller. An impromptu musical program was given by Mrs. G. A. Dahlen who sang a number of solos and Mrs. E. D, Rose, who played the piano. Mrs, Morton, as club president, presided during the dinner. Guests for the evening were P. W. Lanier, United States district attor- ney from Fargo, and Dr. and Mrs. T. ©. Brandenburg. *s* * Dickinson Orchestra Coming Next Sunday Rev. Opie 8. Rindahl, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church, announces that a sacred concert will be given at the church at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening, March 3, by the Dickinson Teachers college orchestra, directed by Catherine Burns. A silver offer- ing will be taken to defray expenses of the orchestra.
